Your records and privacy

Withdrawing consent

Turn off optional uses of your information, such as AI features, reminders or news, at any time.

What you can withdraw

These consents are optional, and you can turn each of them off on its own:

  • The AI assistant.
  • AI documentation during consultations.
  • Telephone and video consultations.
  • WhatsApp, SMS and email messages.
  • Automated callbacks after a missed call.
  • Appointment reminders.
  • Record sharing with a specific practice or clinician.
  • News and offers.

How to withdraw

  1. Sign in and open the privacy section of your account.
  2. Find the consent you want to change.
  3. Turn it off. The change takes effect straight away and is recorded with the date and time.

Quicker ways for messages and calls

  • Send STOP in a WhatsApp chat to stop WhatsApp messages.
  • Say stop during an automated callback to stop callbacks.

What withdrawing does and does not do

Withdrawing consent stops future use of your information for that purpose. It does not undo use that already happened lawfully, and it does not delete clinical records that a practice must keep by law.

Some consents are needed to use the platform for your care: the Terms of Service, the privacy notice and the processing of health information. If you no longer agree to these, we cannot continue to provide the service, and you can ask us to close your account.

During a consultation

You can tell your clinician at any time that you do not want the AI scribe used. They stop recording, and the consultation carries on as normal.
