Booking
Checking in for your appointment
Let the practice know you have arrived and see where you are in the queue.
Before you arrive
Complete any pre-visit questions the practice has sent. Bring your ID document and medical aid card if the practice has asked for them.
Checking in
When you arrive, tell reception or, where your practice offers it, check in from your appointment on your phone. Reception can always check you in.
Your place in the queue
After check-in you may see your queue number and how many patients are ahead of you for your doctor. This is a guide, not a promise. Urgent cases and longer consultations can change the order.
Running late
Let the practice know as early as you can. If you arrive very late, the practice may need to see you later in the day or move your appointment.
Note: If you feel much worse while you wait, tell reception straight away. Do not wait for your turn if you feel severely unwell.
