Getting started
Creating your Maatla Care account
Sign up as a patient with your mobile number and email address. Creating a patient account is free.
Before you start
You need a mobile number that can receive SMS messages and an email address you can open. Creating a patient account on Maatla Care is free.
If you are setting up care for a child or another family member, create your own account first. You can add them as dependants once your account is ready.
Create your account
It takes a few minutes. You can stop and come back later if you need to.
- Choose Get Started and select that you are a patient.
- Enter your name, mobile number and email address, then choose a password.
- Read the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. You need to accept both to use the platform.
- Enter the one-time code we send to your phone. This confirms the number is yours.
- Complete your profile with your date of birth, preferred language and, if you have one, your medical aid details.
Choosing a good password
Use a long password that you do not use anywhere else. A short phrase made of several unrelated words is easier to remember and harder to guess than a single word with symbols.
Never share your password. Maatla Care staff and practice staff will never ask you for it.
Signing up as a doctor or practice
If you are a doctor or a practice manager, choose Bring Maatla Care to your practice instead. Practice accounts go through professional verification before any doctor can be booked by patients.
If something goes wrong
- The code has not arrived: check that the number is correct and that you have signal, then wait a minute before asking for a new code.
- Your email address is already in use: you may already have an account. Use Forgot password on the sign-in page.
- You are not sure which details to use: use the mobile number you check most often, because reminders and booking confirmations go there.
